Hi, I’m Jared, the heart behind Melody & Metal. Music has been a lifelong passion of mine, and teaching guitar is my way of sharing that passion with others. Over the years, I’ve not only taught lessons but also built a space where creativity, craftsmanship, and community come together. Whether I’m helping a student master their first chord, repairing a well-loved guitar, or curating unique pieces for the shoppe, my mission is simple: inspire others to find their sound and make music a part of their lives.
Every chord I’ve ever played and every instrument I’ve repaired has led me here to Melody & Metal. What started as a love for guitar grew into teaching, repairing, and now creating a shop where musicians and dreamers can feel at home. I wear many hats teacher, craftsman, entrepreneur but at my core, I’m just someone who believes in the power of music to change lives.

Not at all. My lessons are built for all skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced players. I will meet you where you are and help you grow from there.
How long are your guitar lessons?
Lessons are typically 30 minutes or 1 hour, depending on what works best for you. Both in-person and online formats are available.
What do I need for online lessons?
A guitar, a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone. I will provide any learning materials digitally.
Do you repair instruments other than guitars?
Yes. While guitar repair is my specialty, I also work on bass guitars, ukuleles, and similar stringed instruments. Reach out to see if I can help with your specific instrument.
How much do repairs cost?
Pricing depends on the type of repair. Simple services like restringing start at a lower cost, while more complex repairs like fretwork or restorations will be quoted after inspection.
