In-Person Guitar Lessons at Melody & Metal Music Shoppe
Hands-on lessons designed to match your pace and your goals.
HELLO WORLD
Why Choose In-Person Lessons?
Immediate Feedback
When you play in the same room as your instructor, you get instant guidance on finger placement, strumming, and timing. Small adjustments made right away help you grow faster and avoid forming habits that can be hard to break later.
Personal Connection
In-person lessons create a natural sense of encouragement and support. You can ask questions as they come up, share your goals, and celebrate milestones together — building a relationship that keeps you inspired.
Tailored to Your Style
Every guitarist has a unique taste in music and way of learning. Face-to-face sessions make it easy for your teacher to shape exercises and songs around your preferences, so you enjoy what you’re playing while improving your skills.
Hands-On Demonstration
Seeing techniques up close makes them easier to understand. From chord changes to picking patterns, watching someone demonstrate right beside you helps you lock in the right movements and sound.
Accountability & Motivation
Having a scheduled lesson gives you a reason to practice and stay focused. Knowing that someone is ready to hear your progress each week can be just the nudge you need to keep moving forward.
Better Sound & Stage Awareness
Hearing your instrument in a shared space helps you develop a good ear for tone, volume, and balance. You also get comfortable playing in front of someone, which builds confidence for performing with others later.

Learn how to hold and tune your guitar, understand string names, and develop solid posture. We’ll cover how to strum cleanly and fret notes without extra buzz so you feel comfortable right from the start.
Essential Chords & Progressions
Master open chords, power chords, and simple progressions that make up hundreds of songs. You’ll practice smooth transitions between shapes until it feels natural.
Rhythm & Strumming Patterns
Discover how to keep time and add variety with strumming patterns. You’ll learn to play along with a steady beat and start building your own rhythmic style.
Playing Songs You Love
Bring in your favorite tracks and we’ll break them down together so you can play music you actually enjoy. Nothing builds confidence faster than performing songs you already know by heart.
Fingerstyle & Picking Techniques
Explore different ways to make melodies sing: fingerpicking, alternate picking, and other techniques to give your playing texture and depth.
Music Theory Made Simple
Get to know scales, keys, and basic notation in a way that feels practical, not intimidating. Understanding theory helps you create and improvise with freedom.
Every lesson is tailored to your goals, so we’ll focus on what excites you most.
